What is a
"Director of Magic"?
Lucas is currently serving his 4th year as Director of Magic at Liberty National Golf Club in Jersey City. But what exactly is
a Director of Magic? Well this is a very unique job that was created while Lucas was working as an Assistant Golf Professional. Planning an exit from golf to become a solo practitioner in the magic world, Liberty National had interest in keeping some magic around for their membership, guests, and professional tournaments. For the past three years Lucas has been performing at nearly every event the clubs hosts - whether it be a member tournament, a private dinner, corporate outings, and even the PGA/LPGA tour events. If you're lucky you may even catch him in the President's Cup Lounge on a busy weekend, performing for all who sit down for a drink or meal. But fear not if you're not able to watch Lucas perform at Liberty - he is available for private events outside the club.

What kind of Magic does Lucas practice?
Lucas is what some might call a "Cardshark" or "Mechanic". Picking up magic at the age of 8, Lucas quickly gravitated to a deck of cards. Of all the tools to be used in magic, Playing Cards allow for the most possibility. Productions, Vanishes, Transformations, Restorations, Animations, Levitations, Predictions, Transpositions, and even Mentalism - can all be done with a single deck of cards. This is one of many reasons why Lucas has specialized in Card Magic for 21 years now. What you will see is the highest caliber card magic available.
That being said, Lucas is not strictly a card guy. With other performances including coins, rubber bands, dollar bills, fire, pens, pencils, notepads, mentalism, stage magic... the tricks never seem to run out. Whatever you have in mind for a show, Lucas will make it happen.
